From their Nov. 26, 1997 show transcript, read about Saddam Hussein's tactic of declaring victory over the UN inspectors, and continuing to carry on business as usual. The article states that, according to the authoritative source, Janes Defense, Iraq is only four months away from the ability to make an atomic weapon.

This January 6, 1998 article brings together many of the current trends that show us we are indeed living in the last days. It lists the following areas of concern:

This article in the Winter 1998 edition of "The Gates" from Hatikva Ministries details the interest in, and the physical progress toward, the establishment of the Third Temple.
The article states:

Global Anti-Semitism and False Peace
This new article explodes the myth of the peace process between Israel and her Arab neighbors. The only peace process going on is between the neighbors themselves. And the United States is not helping matters. On the bright side, he states this is all, " part of God's plan for the national redemption of Israel."
John also recommends the following site for those interested in progress of Jerusalem and the Temple.
Gershom Salomon contends that the main battle for the Temple Mount has begun. This is an informative article about the history and present activities surrounding the Temple Mount.
A Note From Zola
This article, from their November 1997 Newsletter, gives helpful information about the building projects by both Jews and Palestinians in Israel.
He also mentions the delays in the French trial of Papon, who sent more than 1,600 Jews to their deaths in Nazi concentration camps. He says this is an example of French anti-Semitism. American politics about the middle East seem to be determined primarily by oil interests. The Swiss are just now getting around to finding "lost" Jewish bank accounts from the Holocaust years.
Prophetic Signs of the Second Coming
(Chapter 15 from revised "Armageddon - Appointment With Destiny")
Among the signs treated in this chapter are False Christs and Wars and Rumors of Wars. Grant says that, throughout history a false messiah has appeared approximately once every century since the days of Christ. Today we are experiencing an explosion of false christs. He says that a report from Los Angeles indicated that hundreds of individuals in California currently claim they are the messiah.
In regard to wars, Grant shows that throughout history mankind has endured thirteen years of war for every single year of peace, but,since World War II, more than three hundred wars have been fought.

On Jan. 12, 1998 this index set a net all-time high of 170! We're surely closer than we've ever been before!
