2000 In Review

The Year In Prophecy

By Ron Graff

Introduction: Outline of the future

This report is necessarily longer than our previous year-end summaries because of the incredible number of important events that have taken place during the year 2000.

In His Olivet Discourse (Matthew chapters 24 and 25; and Luke 21), Jesus gave us a list of signs that would precede His return to Earth. They included False Christs, Wars and rumors of wars, Earthquakes, Famines, Plagues, Signs in the Heavens, and Persecution.

He then gave us this parable: "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." - Matthew 24:32-36 (NIV)

The evident meaning of this parable is that the generation that sees these things beginning to happen will not pass away until all have been fulfilled. We have more reason than any other generation that has ever existed to believe that we are living in the last days. To better understand this, consider this brief outline of the things that must still happen on earth before Christ returns as King of Kings. Scholars who take the Bible literally generally agree on these major aspects, though some differ about the timing of the events and of the Rapture (catching away of the Church).

Jesus Christ will call His true believers up to be with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Soon after that, a powerful leader (Antichrist) will appear - one who will have solutions to the political and economic woes of the earth (Revelation 6:1-2). When Israel is finally at peace, presumably because of a good agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, there will be a great war (Revelation 6:3-4). This will probably the same as the war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39) in which a northern power, possibly Russia, and its allies, including many nations of the Islamic world, will attack Israel, and, in the process, be defeated by God. A nuclear exchange is a possibility (fire and brimstone), thus weakening the United States, and removing it from its place as the only remaining superpower. The end of this war could also be the occasion of a seven-year peace treaty between Israel and the one who is destined to become Antichrist. The world will suffer many global calamities, including famine and plagues. During this time the brilliant leader will consolidate his power until, at the middle of the seven years (Daniel 9:27), he will require people to worship him and to accept the "Mark of the Beast" on either their forehead or right hand (Revelation 13). Without the mark, no one will be allowed to buy or sell. At this point in the future there will be a virtual one-world government, a religious system which encompasses all the earth, and gives its power to Antichrist (Revelation 17), a method of controlling all commerce, and a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. For the remainder of this time (the "Great Tribulation"), the earth will be punished by supernatural judgments (Revelation chapters 16-18), and Antichrist, in desperation will call Jesus Christ down to battle. At this war, The Battle of Armageddon, Jesus will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19), and will set up a righteous kingdom on Earth for 1000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). After that, there will be a new Heaven and a New Earth.(Revelation chapters 21-22).

Here are some of the highlights of this past year which show us that we are closer to Christ's return than ever before! Documentation for all of these events may be found in the pages of the PROPHECY CENTRAL website (https://www.bible-prophecy.com).

The major developments of the year 2000

Prolonged violence and efforts to establish peace in Israel, leading to the last-days peace treaty and the war of Gog and Magog

Ongoing violence in the Middle East

The war of words in Israel escalated to daily bloody episodes of violence by the end of the year. The conflict broke out on the Temple Mount on September 28th. Shortly before this, Prime Minister Barak had voiced agreement to the principle of two capitals, side-by-side. Referring to the Arabic name for the city, Mr Barak said: "It will be Jerusalem and al-Quds, one next to the other, as two capitals." Opposition leader Ariel Sharon disagreed strongly with the statement and scheduled a visit to the Al Aqsa Mosque. Upset Palestinians retaliated by throwing stones down on Jewish worshippers at the Western Wall. Israeli riot police then entered the Temple Mount and disbursed the crowd by firing rubber-coated bullets. About 50 people were injured and 4 died. Violence spiraled out from Jerusalem throughout the West Bank and Gaza.

Both Israelis and Palestinians lost many lives in the escalating waves of protest, acts of terrorism, and retaliation. Palestinian leaders called for periodic "days of rage," during which protests increased, with resulting loss of life on both sides. Most of the casualties were Palestinians, and many of these were children who always seemed to be at the forefront of the angry rock-throwing mobs. The Palestinians, aided by the liberal news media, used this to their advantage by publicizing these stories and attracting sympathy to their cause. Israel and its shrinking list of supporters saw these stories in a different light, and dared to ask why Palestinians were willing to sacrifice their children by placing them between Israel's military forces and their own.

Far from being ignored by the rest of the world as a local civil war, this struggle has captured the attention of the whole Earth, fulfilling, at least in part, the prophecy of Zechariah 12:2 that Jerusalem would become, "a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling."

Palestinians tortured and killed two Israeli soldiers in Ramallah, Yasser Arafat's headquarters in October. Israelis retaliated by launching rocket attacks against Arafat's headquarters. The conflict escalated almost to the point of a declaration of war between the two sides. As violence became more intense, the U.S. rebuked both sides - the Palestinians for "heinous" activities, such as the bombing of a school bus, and Israel of using "excessive force" in reaction. So far, more than 350 people have been killed since the current violence began in September.

On October 12th, tensions in the Middle East were also raised considerably by the terrorist attack against the USS Cole, a destroyer entering the port in Yemen. A boat carrying enough explosives to cripple the Cole was allowed to approach. The two-man crew of the boat executed their suicide mission, blowing a gaping hole in the Cole and killing 17 U.S. crewmembers. Investigation of the incident pointed to the work of Osama bin Laden, the Saudi multi-millionaire responsible for bombing of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and in 1998. Bin Laden is still in hiding in Afghanistan with the Taliban forces, and U.S. retaliation has not yet taken place. The attack was interpreted by many as a warning to the U.S., as Israel's only strong supporter.

The attempt to bring peace to Israel

During the first part of the year, measures from the 1998 Wye Plantation agreements were slowly being implemented by the gradual withdrawal of Israel from "West Bank" areas. Yasser Arafat had planned to declare Palestinian statehood by May 5th. As that date approached, it became obvious that Israel was not ready to accommodate their plans, especially in regard to allowing a part of Jerusalem to be the capital of the new state.

Israel enacted bold peace initiatives with the Palestinians and with her neighbors. Periodic withdrawals were made from areas scheduled to become Palestinian territories. Numerous talks were held with the Palestinians in various places, both in Israel, and in many other countries to restore progress to the collapsing peace process. During the course of the year, Prime Minister Ehud Barak gradually offered more options, especially concerning the Jerusalem question. Certain outlying neighborhoods were offered as possible land for an adjoining Palestinian capital and a safe passage to the Temple Mount area. Toward the end of the year, even portions of the Old City were included in the negotiations. And finally, some kind of sovereignty by the Palestinians over the Temple Mount itself was discussed. These concessions would have to be approved by Israel later. Barak lost favor with conservative forces in the country, and some elements of his government coalition dissolved, causing him to announce his plan to resign, though it was obvious that he hoped he would be re-elected to the post.

Yasser Arafat, Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, refused to compromise, sticking to his demands, which included, among other things: return of all the land taken by Israel in the 1967 war, the right of the refugees to return, Jerusalem as their capital, and sovereignty over the Temple Mount.

Early in the year, Israel offered to give back the Golan Heights to Syria if acceptable guarantees could be made of security, and if the United States would pay for the costly exchange ($15 billion). Talks broke down during the year because Syria's president Hafez Assad insisted on the additional right to occupy the shore of the Galilee. Assad died on June 12, and was succeeded by his young son Bashar. Some analysts had thought Bashar would accept Israel's offer, but no apparent progress was made during the rest of the year on this issue.

Israel also took the initiative to withdraw troops from the border zone in Lebanon in May, ending 22 years of occupation. The UN was supposed to assist in the process, but was not able to do their part. The abandoned areas were quickly occupied by Hezbollah forces, which claimed the action as a victory for their cause.

Outside influences were very prominent in the ongoing struggle. President Clinton tried repeatedly to extract an agreement from Barak and Arafat. Jordan's young king, Abdullah II said that there is room in Jerusalem for "two capitals of two independent states." Pope John Paul II visited Bethlehem on his historic and long-awaited tour of the Holy Land, and used the occasion to call for a separate Palestinian homeland.

The European Union weighed in with offers of help. Talks were held in France in October, but failed to produce progress. Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak removed his embassy from Israel in protest to the fighting. This was a dramatic setback for Israel since Egypt had been the first Arab nation to establish diplomatic ties with the Jewish country years ago, and had been a moderating influence in the area during all those years.

In August, Israel's Foreign Minister, Shlomo Ben-Ami, requested the assistance of Spain's King Juan Carlos in mediating peace talks with Arab countries, with whom he has good relationships.

In September, Prime Minister Barak met briefly with United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan in New York just before largest gathering of world leaders in history took place. He appealed for help because time for reaching a peace agreement was running out.

In October the United Nations held an emergency meeting to discuss the violence in Israel

The Arab League also met in October, and predictably, offered harsh criticism of Israel. Iran's Khomeini said that the only way to solve crisis is to eradicate Israel. Saddam Hussein in Iraq threatened to "deal with the Zionist entity." In November the Organization of the Islamic Conference held a summit in Quatar. At that time Iran's President Mohammad Khatami proposed a peace plan quite different from the one suggested by the U.S. Under his plan, Palestine would be a multi-faith state encompassing all the land of in the former Palestine before the creation of Israel in 1948.

Yasser Arafat brought Russia into the act by going to Moscow in November to ask Russian President Vladimir Putin for an initiative to curb violent outbreaks between Israel and the Palestinians.

In December The UN General Assembly has passed a series of resolutions opposing Israel's treatment of Palestinians, and claiming that their occupation of the Golan Heights and Jerusalem is illegal.

Barak's gamble

On Dec. 12th Prime Minister Ehud Barak announced his resignation. Many think that it was a method of requiring the choice of a new Prime Minister before election of the new Knesset. Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently more popular in Israel, is not presently a member of the governing body. That would mean that Barak's strongest eligible opponent would be Ariel Sharon, and when a new PM is chosen, it would likely be Barak again.

Clinton's legacy

In a desperate attempt to achieve a legacy as a peacemaker before leaving office on January 20, 2001, President Bill Clinton called for a new round of meetings and set a target date of January 10 for a peace settlement. It depends on fragile hopes that Israel will agree to a plan to return to the basic borders that existed before the 1967 war. Slight differences are proposed to allow Israel's access to parts of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and its annexation of a few Jewish settlements. Equivalent land area would be traded so that Arafat could claim 100% of the land lost in 1967. Under Clinton's plan Israel would also give the Palestinians sovereignty over Arab East Jerusalem and religious sites holy to Islam and Christianity, including the Temple Mount, which Israel captured in the 1967 war.

Arafat's dilemma

Chairman Arafat seems paralyzed at the end of the year by the incredible pressure brought on him by the militant Islamic voices of the surrounding nations. He apparently does not feel that he has the freedom to make any compromise or concession without being branded a traitor to his own cause. He had set three dates during the year for the declaration of an independent Palestinian state (May 5, September 13, and November 15). All of his deadlines came and went without the promised action. He also appeared unable to control the violence that began in September.

Russia's threat

Russia is closely aligned with the Palestinians and with Israel's enemies. It is also acting very belligerent toward the United States, especially in regard to our plans to develop a shield against so-called "rogue states" which now have nuclear strike capability and are controlled by unstable governments. Russia has re-established ties with Iran and is supplying most of the Arab world with weapons. All of this raises the terrible specter of the war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39. This could possibly result in an attack from the north against a relatively defenseless Israel when they are, at last, living in peace (Ezekiel 38:11). This, of course, could be the result of an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. The Bible warns of a false peace, "While people are saying, 'Peace and safety,' destruction will come on them suddenly…" (1Thessalonians 5:3). This war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 follows the rebirth of the Nation of Israel, prophesied in Ezekiel 36 and 37. Many good scholars equate it with the Battle of Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation period, but there are many differences in the way these two wars are described. It seems more likely to us that the Ezekiel War will be the same as the great war of the Second Seal (Revelation 6:3-4) at the beginning of the Tribulation period.

The current status

As always, we do not set dates, try to positively identify Antichrist, or even cling to a dogmatic position about the way that future events will fulfill the prophecies. Yet it is obvious that the current situation could lead to the last-days scenario in the near future. Of course, God may have other, even more specific ways of bringing His will to pass. One thing is certain. We should keep our eyes on Israel!

Outstanding progress in technology, leading to world-wide electronic commerce and the mark of the Beast

According to Daniel 12:4, at the time of the end, "Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." Prophecy scholars identify this prediction as the development of our own computer information age. It results in the geometric progression of science and technology that we have come to accept as normal for our generation. It also makes possible the once-unimaginable electronic control of commerce of the entire world by Antichrist and his government (Revelation 13:16-18). The "going here and there" could also be an allusion to the new phenomenon of the Internet.

The Contribution of the "Y2K Crisis"

At the end of last year there was considerable concern about the possible effects of computer glitches caused by the old practice of encoding dates without the first two numbers of the year (example: 1958 would be stored simply as 58). However, after many years of diligent attention to the problem, and the wholesale upgrading of computer systems throughout the world, the new year 2000 arrived with very little difficulty! Some people were very surprised that things went as well as they did, and everyone was relieved. From the standpoint of prophecy, the major contribution of the Y2K scare was the incredible leap forward, at the cost of untold billions of dollars, in the reliability and connectivity of computers all over the world. This, of course, is just what is needed in order for an effective system of controlling all the buying and selling in every nation by a one-world government of the future.

Geometric growth of computing power

Personal computers have reached the "supercomputer" mark with the advent of Apple Computer's Power Mac G4 Cube, - over 1 billion calculations per second - all in an 8" cube.

The new Pentium® 4 Microprocessor from Intel, the heart of new IBM personal computers, boasts of 1.50 GHz of raw power!

Even Sony's latest game machine, PlayStation 2, is a powerful computer! It can draw 66 million polygons per second! Iraq, a country which is not allowed to purchase US supercomputers is buying thousands of PlayStation 2 games, presumably because they can be networked into a crude supercomputer which could be used for a variety of military applications.

Meanwhile, mainframe supercomputers, operating at billions of operations per second, are at the heart of the technological revolution.

IBM's ASCI White- The biggest operational supercomputer is being reassembled at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. It performs 1.23 trillion floating point calculations per second, and will be used to test nuclear weapons without explosions. The machine takes up two basketball courts worth of floor space, weighs 106 tons, and has 8,192 CPUs.

IBM has committed $100 million to build a new type of supercomputer. They call it Blue Gene, and it will originally be used to study the function of some of the body's most complex molecules. Blue Gene will be capable of more than one million, billion mathematical operations per second (one petaflop). This will make it 1,000 times more powerful than the Deep Blue supercomputer that beat world chess champion Garry Kasparov in 1997, and about one million times more powerful than today's best desktop PCs! At this speed, one computer could devote 161,000 operations to each person in the world every second! In the hands of a world dictator, such a computer could easily control the right of every person on earth to buy or sell (Revelation 13).

Escalation of the use of smart cards

Smart Cards have continued to gain popularity, not only in Europe and in the growing markets of Asia, but now also here in the United States. These credit-card sized devices contain microscopic self-contained computers capable of running a variety of applications to keep one's personal information, health data, electronic records, multiple "purses" for storage of electronic cash, security information and more. Security is provided by a range of methods, from use of a PIN (personal identification number) to a variety of biometric methods, including fingerprint and iris print.

During this year Visa, MasterCard and American Express have all introduced smart cards to their users. In each case there are strong incentives to attract existing credit or debit card users to accept this next step toward a cashless economy.

American Express was first to popularize the Smart Card in the U.S. Their BLUE card allows shopping on the Internet with an additional level of security. It automatically fills out order forms on the Internet with your information. It comes with a unique certificate of authenticity. It is ready for future enhancements also. A free card reader was offered to users who ordered it before the end of the year. The card reader allows your computer to process the information.

Visa claims that their smart card will be accepted by 19 million merchant locations around the world, and on the Internet. It gives enhanced security when accessing online bank statements and allows one to receive custom-tailored discounts and specials when shopping on the Internet.

MasterCard is also pushing its new smart card, not only to consumers, but to banks, which at this time may choose to participate in the program or not. Smart Cards will help eliminate fraud and bad debt and assist banks by expanding their profitability. MasterCard plans to migrate their 600 million credit and debit cards to smart cards.

The security, flexibility, and convenience of the Smart Card will soon win over most consumers. One remaining problem is forgetting or losing the card, which will then be the equivalent of losing one's wallet and key ring at the same time. That leads us to the next category of technological progress - chip implants.

Introduction of "Digital Angel" and other human chip transplants

On May 13, 1997, U.S. Patent, # 5,629,678 was granted for a "Personal Tracking and Recovery System." In December of 1999 Applied Digital Solutions, Inc acquired the patent. Working models of device, which they have named "Digital Angel," were introduced to the public on October 30th of this year amid much fanfare in New York City. The device is a miniature digital transceiver, which may either be implanted under the skin (in the future) or carried close to the human body (in a watch, or cell phone). It can be used to monitor important body functions like temperature and pulse -- and transmit that data wirelessly, along with the accurate location of the person by use of communication with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology. Present applications are obvious for people with medical problems. In the future the device will provide ID for electronic transactions, such as credit card and Internet purchases.

Earlier in the year, A similar small device was made commercially available in Germany. It may be attached to a child is to help parents keep track of their children. It can tell almost exactly where a child is, if the youngster strays beyond the limits of predefined areas fed into a computer, the parent will be notified by a telephone call within 15 seconds.

Growth of the Internet and E-commerce

Internet usage is still growing, but the rate of growth has slowed somewhat. As the under-30 crowd ages, it is expected that Internet usage will continue to climb, eventually becoming more important to them than television. Mobile internet devices are the latest trend, and experts say that, in the future, people and their devices (including even home appliances) will be connected continually to the net. As mentioned before, the Y2K scare did more to modernize and upgrade computer and communications systems during the past few years than any other event could have done. This de-bugged, most powerful system will be in place for Antichrist's worldwide program when he needs it.

Shakeout in the technologies marketplace

Toward the end of the year there was an alarming drop in the value of technology stocks. A great many "dot com" companies disappeared as quickly as they had come. This plunge was part of the inevitable shakeout that comes to all new industries. The resulting mergers and acquisitions will probably mean less creativity in the future, but greater stability and standardization of the emerging technologies.

Major expansion of the power and scope of the European Union and The United Nations, leading to the formation of the last world government before the return of Christ

Rise of a "Revived Roman Empire"

Students of prophecy have long expected a final form of world government to start by a rebirth of the old Roman Empire. The basis for this belief is the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, as interpreted by Daniel (Daniel 2), which portrayed world empires from the time of Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon (Head of Gold). Subsequent Empires would be the Medo-Persian (Chest and arms of silver), the Greek (Brass thighs), the Roman (Iron legs). Finally, a last-days empire, made partly of iron -- the Roman Empire - and partly of clay would exist at the time that Messiah's eternal empire would come, crushing the feet and causing the fall of worldly empires.

The formation of the European Union, with it's charter document, The Treaty of Rome, is a strong possibility for the fulfillment of this prophecy.

Expansion of the Euro and the EU economy

Since the January 1999 launching of the Euro, the inter-national currency of the European Union, its acceptance has been up and down, but in the past few months it has attracted some users, even outside of Europe. Iraq, for instance, is switching from use of the American dollar as its basis to the Euro instead. Countries like England, which was very skeptical at first, are now warming up to the idea of one unified currency for Europe. In the coming year, actual printed and minted Euros will be available for the first time.

As many as 12 other nations have shown interest in joining the European Union. The combined economic power of the union will be greater than that of the United States.

Adoption of a "Constitution" for Europe

The European Union recently adopted a Charter of Fundamental Rights, but the document is not legally binding at this time. There are reports that they is working on a draft treaty setting out its fundamental purposes. Some critics have accused them of secretly drawing up a Euro-constitution, taking the next step toward a federal super state. Proponents of the document say that it is intended to rationalize the principles already set out in the Maastricht Treaty and the Treaty of Rome, putting in plain language the fundamental aims of the EU. There are plans for another inter-governmental conference (IGC) in 2004 to explore the further development of European integration.

Discussions continue among member nations about the future of the union. Will it be a superpower or a super state?

Formation of European military power

The European Union has approved an EU Rapid Deployment Force of up to 60,000 troops from various European nations. These troops may be called up for peacekeeping and humanitarian missions. At present, this is not seen as an alternative to NATO, but there are some who would like to see a full European army so that NATO would no longer be necessary. This view, of course alienates the United States.

Flexing its political muscle

The European Union is extending its political influence into the Middle East situation. It is discussing a multi-billion dollar peace plan, modeled after the United States' Marshall Plan, which was adopted after World War II. The intended aim of the EU plan is to extend Europe's values of democracy, human rights and economic liberalization into the Middle East and eventually make the whole area a free trade region with the EU.

Increased power of the United Nations

The United Nations has grown considerably in its size and scope, and now openly espouses a world government. Numerous environmental treaties have been passed this past year giving the UN control over the usage of a large percentage of the globe.

The United States Senate may approve a treaty, which President Clinton just signed, ratifying the establishment of a permanent international criminal court to try charges of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity. In its present state, this treaty would grant very broad powers to the international body, which could be used against our own military actions.

In September, the UN hosted the largest-ever meeting of world leaders, to promote the concepts of global governance. There were more than 160 kings, presidents and prime ministers in attendance.

Dramatic rise in interest in tolerance and religious unity, leading to the emergence of a one-world religion

New Age Religion

The New Age Religion seeks to reconcile all beliefs and unite them. They teach that there are many "Christs" or "ascended masters," which have been responsible in the past for the formation of various religions. One group, Share International., which is sponsored by the United Nations, claims that the Messiah for our age is already alive, but in hiding. He is known as Maitreya, and, according to Benjamin Creme, he will be revealed some time soon when the world to be ready for him.

United Religions

According to the Scriptures, false religion will characterize the last days, and a one-world religion will exist. This apostate religion is pictured as a spiritual prostitute who gives her power to Antichrist (Revelation 17:1-17; 1 Timothy 4:1-3).

On June 26, 2000 delegates to the Summit Conference from 44 countries and 39 religions signed the United Religions Initiative Charter in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. An elegant multi-faith ceremony was held. This was followed by a week of work deepening commitment to ending religious violence. The United Religions is patterned after the model of the United Nations.

A Millennium World Peace Summit of religious and spiritual leaders was held at the United Nations in August. It was the first event of its kind in a movement to usher in a global spiritual body. Ted Turner, CNN founder, was the honorary chairman of the summit. He promoted the new age concept that there are many ways to heaven. Turner denounced his own childhood Christian faith. He explained that he turned away from Christianity when he discovered "it was intolerant because it taught we were the only ones going to heaven. That confused the devil out of me since that would have left heaven a very empty place."

Catholicism and the rest of the world's religions

The Roman Catholic Church was criticized for a document signed in September, in which it was stated that the way of salvation was "only in the unique and universal Catholic Apostolic Church." In December the Pope made a shocking amendment saying that Heaven is open to all as long as they are good. He said at an audience that "all of the just on Earth, including those who ignore Christ and his Church" were "called upon to build the kingdom of God".

"Tolerance" as the greatest virtue

Tolerance of everyone's religious views and lifestyles has become the greatest virtue in the politically correct world. Fundamental Christian beliefs are considered intolerant, and will soon be branded hate crimes.

At the Millennium World Peace Summit, many speakers denounced efforts to convert people from one religion to another. Such statements were met with vigorous applause. Evangelicals were practically absent from the summit. One notable exception was Anne Graham Lotz, who gave a gospel presentation.

Other important issues during the past year

There has been significant activity in nearly every category of Biblical prophecy this year. To summarize all of these areas would make this report much too long. We encourage you to visit Prophecy Central (https://www.bible-prophecy.com) and check out the progress in each of the study topics listed there.

Conclusion

What effect should all of this have on Bible-believing Christians? The Apostle Peter puts it this way. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives. - 2 Peter 3:11 (NIV)

We believers should not be afraid of what is coming. But seeing that the Lord's return could be soon, we should be motivated to live godly lives and do all we can to share the Gospel with others while there is still time.

If you haven't ever received Christ as Savior, you can do it now. Go to Are You Ready? AT https://www.bible-prophecy.com/ready.htm
