The book documents the age-old struggle between Abraham’s two sons, Ishmael and Isaac, the forefathers of the Arab and Jewish people. It shows the striking difference between Judeo-Christian beliefs and Islamic teaching. And it focuses on the role of America and its presidents in the unfolding of God’s amazing restoration of His Chosen People to the land of Israel. Previous presidents, like Harry Truman, have invoked God’s blessing by supporting the establishment of the nation of Israel, while others, like Bill Clinton, have made serious mistakes that threaten our very future. We have been trying to appease both brothers: Ishmael and Isaac. The need for oil is a major factor in this unfolding drama. And the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington D.C. are a result of our failing policies.
Today America has a choice. Evans calls it, “A Rude Awakening or a Great Awakening?” Will we renew our full support for Israel in its great struggle for existence, or will we make matters worse by forcing them into giving up more land to implement the “Road Map” peace plan? Nothing less than a true spiritual revival can give our country the moral clarity it needs to bless Israel. If we fail, Evans warns, our nation will “join the E.U., U.N., and Russia in a globalization move that will, in the end, force a false peace on Israel and begin the Tribulation.”
