Educators say evolution still 'theory'
Feb. 20, 2008 - The Florida Board of Education has decided that evolution should be taught as a "theory" instead of a proven scientific fact in Florida schools. Their decision was contrary to the proposal of a state committee that, "Evolution is the fundamental concept underlying all of biology and is supported by multiple forms of scientific evidence."
