Don't Mourn For Arafat!

Ron Graff – Prophecy Central

How dare the “good people” of the world mourn the death of Yasser Arafat?  Are they ignorant of the fact that he wanted to exterminate the Jewish people, and is responsible for more Jewish deaths than any person since Adolph Hitler?  He is also responsible for the death of thousands of Christians, and has done his own Palestinian people a great disservice by leading them into terrorism when they could have had peace.  The following excerpts and summaries have been collected from credible sources.  They should be considered before praising his accomplishments.

1946-1948 - In Cairo, before he was seventeen, Arafat was smuggling arms to Palestine to be used against the British and the Jews. At nineteen, during the war between the Jews and the Arab states, Arafat left his studies at the University of Faud I (later Cairo University) to fight against the Jews in the Gaza area.[1]

1958 – In Kuwait

In 1958 he and his friends founded Al-Fatah, an underground network of secret cells, which in 1959 began to publish a magazine advocating armed struggle against Israel.[2]

1964 – From Kuwait to Jordan

At the end of 1964 Arafat left Kuwait to become a full-time revolutionary, organizing Fatah raids into Israel from Jordan.[3]

1964 - The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was established.  In 1968 Arafat was elected leader, under the sponsorship of the Arab League.[4]

1968 – The first terrorist-extortion hijacking of an airliner apparently occurred in July 1968, when terrorists of the PLO-faction PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) hijacked an El Al airliner to Algiers. (This was the only successful hijacking of an El Al plane.) [5]

1970 – PLO  terrorists hijacked four planes over Europe and flew them to Jordan and Cairo, where they were blown up. The terrorists used the passengers as bargaining chips to win the release of PLO terrorists from European jails.[6]

September, 1970 – Arafat’s PLO attempted to take over Jordan.[7]  This failed attempt became known as Black September.

Arafat developed the PLO into a state within the state of Jordan with its own military forces. King Hussein of Jordan, disturbed by its guerrilla attacks on Israel and other violent methods, eventually expelled the PLO from his country.[8]

Arafat sought to build a similar organization in Lebanon, but this time was driven out by an Israeli military invasion. He kept the organization alive, however, by moving its headquarters to Tunis.[9]

September 5, 1972 – “Black September”, a front for the PLO, perpetrated the Munich Olympics slaughter, killing eleven Israeli athletes.[10]
The Munich operation was ordered by Yasser Arafat and carried out by Fatah, Arafat's faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization .[11]

March 2, 1973 – President Nixon refused PLO demands.
The NSA secretly intercepted radio communications including Arafat’s order to kill American Ambassador Cleo A. Noel Jr. and others.[12]

Jan. 9, 1976- Arafat was responsible for the death of tens of thousands of innocent Christians including the massacre of 582 in Damour, Lebanon.[13]

June 6, 1982-  Israel invaded Lebanon to crush PLO, forcing Arafat and loyalists to flee Beirut.

Aug. 2, 1990- Iraq invaded Kuwait.  Arafat supported Saddam Hussein, resulting in PLO's isolation.

Sept. 13, 1993- Israel and the PLO signed a peace plan in Oslo, Norway.  It gave Arafat control of most of Gaza Strip and 27 percent of West Bank. Arafat shook hands with President Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin on the White House lawn.[14]

July 1, 1994- Returning from exile, a triumphant Arafat set foot on Palestinian soil for the first time in 26 years.[15]

Dec. 10, 1994- Arafat won the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Rabin and Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres for agreement on the Oslo accords.[16]  Unfortunately, he failed to uphold his end of the deal.[17]  The number of terrorist attacks actually increased greatly following the Oslo accords.[18]

1995 – Ariel Sharon said, "I don't know anyone other than Arafat who has as much civilian Jewish blood on his hands since the time of the Nazis”.[19]

2000 – President George W.  Bush would not invite Arafat to the White House or have direct meetings with him.  The White house eventually stopped all dialogue with him, concluding he was inept and had not done enough to stop attacks on Israel.[20]

Sept. 28, 2000-  Israel's former Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, visited The Temple Mount, holy to Jews and Muslims.  This led to clashes that escalated into second Palestinian uprising (Intifada).

Nov., 2004 –  It is feared that more than a billion dollars Arafat has in personal savings may be lost at his death, since no one, including his wife apparently knows how to access them.  These funds have been diverted from governmental gifts and grants to the Palestinians for his own personal use.[21]

Nov. 11, 2004 – Arafat died of an undisclosed illness.  Since he died in France, there is no requirement of stating the cause of death.  Some credible sources marshal evidence that he has been involved in homosexual activities, and have asked the question, “Does Arafat have AIDS?”[22]
