Global ransomware attack causes turmoil
June 27, 2017 - A new world-wide cyber attack has frozen files in Windows computers and demands payment of a fee, paid in untraceable Bitcoin,
before it will make the encrypted files readable again.
Companies across the globe are reporting that they have been struck by a major ransomware cyber-attack.
The Russian anti-virus firm Kaspersky Lab said its analysis showed that there had been about 2,000 attacks - most in Ukraine, Russia and Poland.

North Korea possibly behind global cyberattack, researchers say
May 16. 2017 - Cyber security researchers are looking for the origins of last week's global cyberattack that affected
more than 300,000 computers in 150 countries.
Symantec and Kaspersky Lab said that some of the code used in the version of the WannaCry software had also been
used in programs run by the North Korea-linked Lazarus Group.

Huge Cyberattack Hits Nearly 100 Countries With ‘Wanna Decryptor’ Malware
May 13, 2017 - Nearly 100 countries have been hit by a massive cyberattack that locks up comuters and demands ransom payments to restore service.
Antivirus provider Avast reported that some 100,000 computers had been infected by the crippling malware and that the "WanaCrypt0r 2.0,"
as it is called, ransomware had been detected in 99 countries with Russia, Ukraine and Taiwan the top targets.
