Islam is the second largest, and some claim, the fastest growing, religion in the world. It is not well understood in the United States, but the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center by militant Muslims have made people curious about its teachings. Many Muslims live in relative peace, but there is a strong, sizeable faction of radical militants that dominate the news and use terrorist tactics to advance it's agenda of world domination. Osama bin Laden and his organization, Al Qaeda, was responsible for the killing of more than three thousand innocent Americans.

Christians need to affirm their love for Muslims (Christ died for all men), and stand against any persecution against them based on their religion or ethnicity. We should also seek to enter into dialog with them where possible, so that they might learn more about Jesus, whom they respect as a prophet, but do not accept as savior. At the same time, we should be entirely opposed to the wanton murder of innocent people by terrorists. And we should not give the false impression, so prevalent in our culture today, that our beliefs are equal. Jesus said He is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6).

Radical Islam has continued to grow. Their aim is to control the world. Intelligence experts warn that another great attack is likely in America. Few Muslim mosques stand effectively against violence. Instead, they tend to serve as places of recruitment for jihadists. Outdated immigration policies and weak border control allow the continued flow of trained terrorists into our country. Americans and their leaders need to wake up and find ways to stop this trend before it is too late for us.

In July, 2014 the radical jihadist group, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), claimed that they were establishing a new Islamic caliphate, with the goal of reclaiming the lands once held by the Ottoman Empire. Using the most brutal tactics seen in our lifetime -- including beheadings, crucifixions, mass slaughter, and burying opponents alive -- they have invaded large portions of Syria and Iraq, and have killed or driven out almost all Christians. This new, illegitimate force is motivated by Sunni Islamic theology, and will undoubtedly be resisted by the Shite branch of Islam, led by Iran. They will also be opposed by Western powers, including the United States and the more moderate Sunni nations such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.

The continued growth of Islam raises another prophetic possibility: that the large and growing number of Muslims in Europe might exert a strong influence over the culture there. The affected area would resemble the old Roman Empire at it's greatest extent, and could be what was predicted in Daniel, chapter 2, where it depicts the final world empire, symbolized by iron [Rome] and clay [Islamic influence?]. See Revived Roman Empire.

The biggest threat now is not Radical Islam. It is “Apocalyptic Islam.”

Feb/27, 2015 - Joel Rosenberg warns that "Apocalyptic Islam" is the most serious threat because . . .
". . . for the first time in all of human history, we have not just one but two nation states whose rulers are driven not by political ideology — or even mere religious theology — but by apocalyptic, genocidal End Times eschatology.

The two main branches of Islam are the Shia and the Sunni. Both branches believe the End of days has come and their messiah, the “Mahdi” is about to appear. However, the two groups have different strategies to hasten his arrival.

At the core of the ISIS terrorist movement, radical Sunnis are committing genocide now in an effort to build a caliphate (Islamic empire) at the cost of millions of lives.

Iran is the center of the Shia branch of Islam. They want to build The Bomb. They think that having nuclear weapons, and probably using them--and killing tens of millions--will open the way for the Madhi to return.

Prophetic Significance of Islam

Al-Azhar top cleric calls for religious teaching reform

Feb. 213, 2015 - Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, The Grand Imam of Egypt's top Islamic institution, has called for a radical reform of religious teaching. He claims that terrorism is the result of "bad interpretations" of the Koran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad.

"The only hope for the Muslim nation to recover unity is to tackle in our schools and universities this tendency to accuse Muslims of being unbelievers."

What ISIS Really Wants

Feb. 17, 2015 - Read this insightful article to really understand what is behind the ISIS movement, and how their theology is leading to the apocalypse. It is long, but thoroughly worth the time and concentration it requires of the reader. Here is the author's summary of the information.
The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it.

U.S. at war with Islam since Thomas Jefferson's time

Feb. 16, 2015 - Even in the days of America's founding fathers Muslim pirates were capturing American ships and making slaves of their captors. The U.S. fought two wars against Islamists soon after we won our independence.
The First Barbary War, 1801-1805, America’s first war after the Revolution, and the Second Barbary War, 1815, gave rise to the Marine Anthem: “From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.”

Obama Keeps Bowing in the Middle East

Jan. 30, 2015 - Even if President Obama doesn't bow to the new Saudi king, America's attitude, and especially the President's attitude, toward Saudi Arabia is disturbing. Why is nothing ever said about the Saudi support for jihadist causes, and the obvious connection between Islam and violence. David Harsanyi, author of this article writes:
“There is no god but God; Mohammed is the messenger of God” — which is neatly underlined by a sword. This, I think it’s fair to say, may insinuate that a coupling of violence and faith is indeed possible in modern religion.

Hamas leader’s son tells synagogue: ‘Islam is greatest threat to humanity’

Jan. 23, 2015 - Mosab Hassan Yousef (also known as "Son of Hamas") told a crowd at the Garden Suburb Synagogue in London that Islamic ideology is the most dangerous thing humanity is facing. Yousef is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a top Hamas leader. He converted to Christianity and joined Israel's spy agency Shin Bet. He said:
“Why do you think ISIS beheads people? They could shoot people but it’s inspired by Muhammad. . . I believe Muhammad is a terrorist and the terrorists are just following in his footsteps. Peaceful Muslims misinterpret Islam.”

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia dead at 90, half-brother succeeds him

Jan. 22, 2015 - King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has died at age 90. He has been a strong ally with the US against al Qaeda. He is succeeded by his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman.
The death of King Abdullah, coupled with the collapse of the government in Yemen, is a "worst case scenario" for the U.S. because current events are allowing Iran to extend its reach and influence in the region.

Islam's Likely Doom

Jan. 14, 2014 - As recently as 2012 it seemed like the different sects of Muslims might be able to work together in their war against Western values, but they have now resumed fighting against each other.
Islamists have in recent months abruptly and overwhelmingly thrown themselves at each others’ throats. Islamists still constitute a single movement that shares similar supremacist and utopian goals, but they also have different personnel, ethnic affiliations, methods, and philosophies.

ISIS, al Qaeda targeted France before Paris newspaper shooting

Jan. 8, 2015 - It is not yet known whether the massacre at satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo was directed by ISIS or al Qaeda, but there have been threats from both organizations recently.
In a video released by ISIS just days ago, a French jihadi in Syria issued a chilling order: "Blow up France and tear it down to pieces," he said. "Do it with a stone or a knife or whatever you can get your hands on."
