Stratfor has 11 chilling predictions for what the world will look like in 10 years
Dec. 25, 2015 Strategic Forecasting (Stratfor) released its Decade Forecast earlier this year. Projections from this intelligence organization
are highly respected. The report is not encouraging.
In many ways, Stratfor thinks the world a decade from now will be more dangerous place, with US power waning and other prominent countries
experiencing a period of chaos and decline.
If Stratfor is correct, Russia will collapse, China will have economic problems, Europe will be divided, Turkey will gain prominence, and the U.S. will decline in power while trying to protect
the world from the misuse of nuclear stockpiles that once belonged to Russia but have fallen into wrong hands.

America: Glorious History/ Questionable Future
July 4, 2015 - Should we go on praising the virtue and glory of America in the light of all the evidence that our once-wonderful
country is losing its way? Writer Matt Walsh gives us a long list of things that have gone terribly wrong with our once-great nation. Read
the list and you will probably agree with his conclusion:
The Lord, in His wisdom, might see fit to smite America from the Earth, like Sodom and Gomorrah. Can’t say I’d blame Him.
Or maybe He will lead us through this dark age to true greatness. I don’t know.

Supreme Court strikes down bans on same-sex marriage
June 6, 2015 - The US Supreme Court has issued its 5-4 verdict that states cannot deny gay men and lesbians the same marriage rights enjoyed for thousands of years by opposite-sex couples.
Chief Justice John Roberts read for 10 minutes from his dissent. He accused the majority of overstepping their bounds and ignoring the Constitution.
"Today, five lawyers have ordered every state to change their definition of marriage," Roberts said. "Just who do we think we are?"

churches there, and around the country, held prayer services. At a prayer vigil outside the US Capitol, Senate chaplain Barry Black said:
"Our hearts ache because, in the future, people will feel fear in the house of God when they should feel peace and serenity."

Chuck Norris joins Ted Cruz (and others) in ‘Operaton Jade Helm’ conspiracy watch
May 5, 2015 - Information about a very large military exercise this summer, called "Operation Jade Helm," has caused alarm in some of
the states where it will be conducted. Some fear that it is preparation for federal military control over areas considered "hostile territory."
It’s a training exercise planned for this summer involving four branches of the military and seven southwest states. According
to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the operation is routine (though extensive) and will have little to no impact on civilians.
Chuck Norris reminded his readers of what Benjamin Franklin said: "Distrust and caution are the parents of security.”

Dobson: 'Fall of Western civilization' at hand
May 3, 2015 - Iconic Chistian family expert, Dr. James Dobson, warned readers of his "Family Talk" organization that if the Supreme Court
rules in favor of same-sex marriage, the consequences will be disastrous. He wrote:
“Barring a miracle, the family that has existed since antiquity will likely crumble, presaging the fall of Western civilization itself. This is a
time for concerted prayer, divine wisdom and greater courage ..."
He predicted that hundreds of Christian churches and colleges will be dragged into court, and prohibited from teaching scriptural views of marriage.

6 Baltimore officers charged in Freddie Gray's death
May 1, 2015 - Baltimore's top prosecutor charged six police officers with felonies ranging from assault to murder in the death of Freddie Gray.
State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby said Gray's arrest was illegal and unjustified, and that his neck was broken because he was handcuffed,
shackled and placed head-first into a police van, where his pleas for medical attention were repeatedly ignored.

America 'the divided' revealed in marriage arguments
Apr. 29, 2015 - Having heard arguments yesterday, the Supreme Court will now "decide" two issues: whether the Constitution provides for
same-sex marriage and whether states must recognize same-sex marriages licensed in other states.
The questions posed by the Justices, the arguments given in reply, and the reaction of people everywhere, show how divided
the country has become over the issue. Some, like John Eastman, chairman of the National Organization for Marriage, were encouraged by some of
the questions asked, especially by Justice Kennedy, because, “It shows that the justices realize that marriage has existed for millennia and they
have no constitutional basis to redefine it.”
Those in favor of same-sex marriage found encouragement is some of the other questions and remarks by the justices.
The article reminds readers that,
Of the 37 states where same-sex marriage now is recognized, only three did so through a vote of the people. In most cases, it was
imposed by the ruling of a single federal judge.

Supreme Court to hear arguments in historic gay marriage case
Apr. 28, 2015 -
The justices are meeting Tuesday to offer the first public indication of where they stand in the dispute over whether states can continue
defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman, or whether the Constitution gives gay and lesbian couples the right to marry.
This article points out the fact that such an outcome was inconceivable just a few years ago. Since 2004, 36 states and the District of
Columbia have decided to allow same-sex marriages, overturning state initiatives by the people in 21 states against such unions.
Observers will be watching Justice Anthony Kennedy to see which way he leans during the proceedings.

Aftermath: Baltimore cleans up, seeks order after night of rioting
Apr. 28, 2015 - After the funeral of a black man who died of injuries that were apparently suffered in police custody, angry mobs attacked police
on the streets of Baltimore and began a night of rioting and looting.
As many as 15 police officers injured in rioting that broke out when high school kids used social media to launch a coordinated "Purge."
the slang term taken from a movie and meaning a night where laws are not observed.
Storefronts were looted, fires were set, and mobs roamed at will throughout the night. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake strongly condemned
the "thugs" causing damage and announced a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for at least the next week. National Guard troops arrived in Baltimore after midnight
to help restore order.

Three existential threats facing America.
Mar. 12, 2015 - In an address to the National Religious Broadcasters convention, Joel Rosenberg taught the meaning
of the Ezekiel 33 passage about the responsibilities of "a watchman on the wall."
When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die
in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from your hand. But if you on your part warn a wicked man to turn from his way and he does not
turn from his way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your life. - Ezekiel 33:8-9
Rosenberg warns America of three threats to our nation's very existence unless we experience a "Third Great Awakening,"
#1 — America could be heading towards collapse, towards implosion.
#2 — America could face the risk of annihilation by Apocalyptic Islam.
#3 — America could be heading towards total abandonment of the Jewish State.

Iran Nuclear Deal, If Reached, Wouldn’t Be ‘Legally Binding,’ Kerry Says
Mar. 12, 2015 -
Secretary of State John Kerry, in an often contentious Senate hearing, told lawmakers Wednesday the U.S. isn't negotiating a “legally
binding” agreement with Iran, meaning future presidents could choose not to implement the accord.
Kerry said the agreement with Iran would not be an actual treaty. Treaties legally bind governments to the terms of the agreement, and
the Constitution requires them to be approved by the Senate. The Iran deal will not be a treaty, but an executive agreement, and
could be changed by a future president.
Mr. Kerry said that the present plan would contain mechanisms to enforce compliance.

Founders had wholly different idea of 'religious freedom'
Jan. 16, 2015 - Excellent quotations from Madison, Jefferson and others are a timely reminder that our Founders'
concept of "separation of church and state" was very different from the current interpretations of the expression. It is also
clear that the fathers of our country offered freedom to all religions but considered America a distinctively Christian nation.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Chase (appointed to the court by George Washington) wrote this:
“By our form of government, the Christian religion is the established religion; and all sects and denominations of Christians are
placed upon the same equal footing, and are equally entitled to protection in their religious liberty.”
