End & New Beginning

The End/ New Beginning

The End of the World is NOT Near! Balanced Biblical teaching does indicate that there is a new age coming, during which Jesus Christ will reign. We do not set dates for future events! Fear and dread are not appropriate for those who know Christ. Nevertheless, there are many doomsday scenarios in the news, and some of them do have prophetic value. The balance here is to remember that the Bible predicts bad times ahead, but not the total destruction of life.

Joy to the World" - Originally a Song about Christ's Second Coming!

Dec. 24, 2014 - When Sir Issac Watts, the master hymn-writer composed "Joy to the World," he meant it primarily to focus on our belief in the Return of Christ as King of Kings.
The original theme of this song was the second coming of the Lord. Christmas wont always be a joyful time, but when Jesus comes back, even the rocks will sing!

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love

America entering End Times? Greg Laurie says yes

Dec. 12, 2014 - World famous pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie recently told his congregation that we are entering the End Times. Some of the biblical predictions have already passed, including the return of Israel as a nation in 1948, Islamic jihad, the alignment of Russia with Iran, and the acceptance of immoral behavior worldwide (abortion, homosexuality, fornication, etc.)

Laurie also spoke about prophecies concerning the rise of anti-Semitism, the absence of America, a new one-world government, the Rapture, the Tribulation, and beyond.

Dr. David Jeremiah: Im no prophet, but the End Times are here

Dec. 4, 2014 - Pastor David Jeremiah, from the Shadow Mountain Church in San Diego, has written a new book in which he and a co-writer highlight ten key players of the Book of Revelation. Each chapter starts with a "story" about that person's activity during the End Times and then gives Bible references to back it up. In an interview with the Christian Post Jeremiah said:
"The End Times, in the sense of Bible prophecy, probably started for us in 1948 when Israel became a nation, because many of the prophecies, in the New Testament especially, could not be fulfilled until Israel was at home in her nation,"
He says that we should not be upset by the thought that we are in the End Times because Revelation tells us that Jesus and His followers are victorious.

Pope Francis: Christian Persecution, Prohibition of Worship Signs of the End Times

Nov. 29, 2014 - Preaching on Jesus' Olivet Discourse in Luke 21, Pope Francis said that Christian persecution and the cultural fear of public expressions of faith are signs of the end times.
"Worship is prohibited this is at the center of the end of time." Once we "reach the fullness of this pagan attitude truly the Son of Man will come in a cloud with great power and glory."

Study: Half of Americans, Majority of White Evangelicals Believe Natural Disasters Are Rising Due to 'End Times' Not Climate Change

Nov. 28, 2014 - According to a new poll by the Public Religion Research Institute, 49 percent of Americans now believe that the recent surge in natural disasters is the result of biblical "End Times."
Especially white evangelical Protestants are more likely 77 percent to attribute the severity of recent natural disasters to the End Times than to climate change, added the poll on religion and the environment.
