Young Adults Who Abandon Faith May Have 'Lukewarm' Upbringing
Oct. 29, 2013 - A new survey by Focus on the Family has discovered that most "Millennials" (born between 1980 and 2000) who have left
their Christian faith behind didn't come from parents whose own faith was strong.
"[N]ot surprisingly, homes modeling lukewarm faith do not create enduring faith in children."

Court affirms parental rights, after 18 years!
July 12, 2013 - A law enacted in Illinois 18 years ago was finally verified as constitutional by the state supreme court in a
unanimous decision.
The state’s Parental Notice of Abortion Act was adopted in 1995, but never enforced until now. It requires a parent or guardian to be
notified at least 48 hours before a child under the age of 18 undergoes an abortion.
Tom Brejcha, president of the Thomas More Society, called it a huge victory for the rights of parents.

Obama Plan B Decision: Feds To Comply With NY Judge's Ruling
Jun. 10, 2013 - The federal government has decided to comply with a judges' order to allow girls of any age to
buy emergency contraception without prescriptions.
- The decision ends a years-long fight between President Barack Obama's administration, which had argued that age limits for the morning-after
pill are common sense, and women's rights groups, which insisted the drug should be made as freely available as aspirin.

Christian Apologist Says Social Media Like the Tower of Babel
Apr. 3, 2013 - In a video presentation Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias addressed the question, "Isn't Facebook bad?"
He likened the phenomenon to the earlier technologies of the printed page and photography. Methods of communication are not intrinsically
evil. It depends on how they are used. Admittedly, social media is making a huge difference in the world - fomenting revolutions and
making "corruption" the greatest problem facing humanity now. It threatens to be the Tower of Babel for our generation.
Zacharias encourages young people to use this "incredible opportunity to be a witness because of the capacities that are now invested in you."
He reminded them that Jesus said His disciples would do even greater things.
- "Become a peace builder, a bridge builder, not a destroyer, and the way you do that is through friendships and
relationships, and through authentic character."

The Bible Gained Six Million New 'Antagonists' Last Year (Infographic)
Mar. 27, 2013 - According to the new State of the Bible Report from the American Bible Society, Americans are drifting away from
regular reading of the Bible, and a larger percentage of the population is antagonistic to it. The study is based on an annual survey conducted by
the Barna Group.
- More than 3 in 4 Americans say the country is in a state of moral decline—and almost 1 in 3 attribute the cause to a "lack of Bible reading"
(narrowly beating out "negative influence of media").
The "Mosaic" age group (18-28)read the Bible the least, but surprisingly are the most interested in "receiving input and wisdom" from it.
Another confusing result of the study is the fact that 66 percent of survey respondents agreed that "the Bible contains everything a person needs to
know to live a meaningful life," but 58 percent said they "don’t personally want wisdom and advice from the Bible."
