Supervolcano in Yellowstone even bigger than we thought
Dec. 13, 2013 - A new study of Yellowstone indicates that the supervolcano is about 2.5 times bigger than it was thought to be.
A team found the cavern stretches for more than 90km (55 miles) and is 30km wide (20 miles)...In some parts it's up to 15km (9 miles) deep and it's
filled with molten rock.
The good news is that they do not think it will erupt in the near future.

Seven Volcanoes in Six Countries Erupt within Hours - But no Sign of Doomsday
Dec. 8, 2013 -
The volcanoes were Indonesia's Mount Sinabung and Mount Merapi, Italy's Mount Etna, the Colima volcano in Mexico, Guatemala's Fire Mountain and Vanuatu's Yasur
volcano, while an undersea volcano off the Japanese coast formed a new island.
However, Volcanologist Rebecca Williams, of the University of Hull, told IBTimes UK that this is perfectly normal. She said there can be an average of 10-20 volcanoes
erupting every day. In her opinion it is just coincidence that those seven events all happened within an hour or so.
