Iranian Pastor Nadarkhani Acquitted, Freed
Sept. 9, 2012 - After holding him for more than 1,000 days in jail, and threatening him with a death sentence, Iranian
pastor Youcef Nadarkhani was released.
- Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reported Saturday (Sept. 8) that Nadarkhani, in jail since 2009, was acquitted of apostasy --
that is, converting from Islam to Christianity -- but found guilty of evangelizing Muslims... Nadarkhani said he never was a Muslim.
He had already served enough time in prison to pay for the conviction on evangelizing Muslims, so he was released.

The Social Network Gospel
June 12, 2012 - There is a revival of Bible knowledge because of new technologies. It is reminiscent of the spread of God's Word
after the invention of the printing press! Robert C. Crosby writes:
- Not only do billions around the world now have access to the Bible online, and not only are many of them actually reading it,
they're also actively engaging with the Word of God—and with one another....
The physical roads of the Roman Empire that connected people throughout the then-known world, made the spread of the Gospel possible. Today
the Internet, the smartphone, the tablet, and social media are the "new Roman roads" that connect millions of homes and individuals with the
ability to engage others with the teaching of the Bible.

Quebec: Canada's Prodigal Province
May 23, 2012 - Read the inspiring Natasha Bass' story of Christians reaching the post-modern, post-Christian population of Montreal.
- Pierre Lebel, head of the Montreal base of Youth With a Mission (YWAM), said that based on {missiologist Lesslie] Newbigin's teachings,
evangelizing a post-Christian culture is like trying to reach a divorcée: Sensitivity is required for both situations.
Bass discovered that she could not start with "Bible-thumping," but rather rather with "unconditional love, whether they were addicts,
homeless, hopeless, or just plain mean." Fortunately there are many dedicated Christians who are determined to reseed Quebec with the gospel.

Tim Tebow speaks to thousands in Georgetown
April 9, 2012 - In Georgetown, Texas, an estimated crowd of 30,000 people celebrated Easter in an outdoor setting that
featured an interview with NFL star Tim Tebow. Many church-goers wore Tebow's jersey and his iconic eye black, complete with his favorite scripture
-- John 3:16.
- "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting
life," Dakota Shipman recited.
Tebow said, "Regardless of what happens, I still honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because at the end of the day, that's what's
important, win or lose." He also said, "We need to get back to one nation under God, and be role models for kids,"

Is there a message in Tim Tebo's 316 passing yards?
Any doubt as to Tebow's lucky number?
Jan. 9, 2012 - Tim Tebow, the Denver Bronco's quarterback who has been criticized for his bold Christian statements but
praised for his skill, completed an 80-yard game-winning touchdown pass to receiver Demaryius Thomas. His total passing yards for the
game equalled 316 yards, and the average of his 10 completions was 31.6 yards.
The writer of the article said this:
- His performance also borrowed a little magic from another famous book. The devout Christian's stat line in Sunday's game mirrors
the numbering of the Biblical passage that Tebow at times had painted on to his black eye paint during his career...
That verse, of course is John 3:16- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
