End & New Beginning

The End/ New Beginning

PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE:
The End of the World is NOT Near! Balanced Biblical teaching does indicate that there is a new age coming, during which Jesus Christ will reign. We do not set dates for future events! Fear and dread are not appropriate for those who know Christ. Nevertheless, there are many doomsday scenarios in the news, and some of them do have prophetic value. The balance here is to remember that the Bible predicts bad times ahead, but not the total destruction of life.

Where world history ends

Oct. 21, 2012 - Pastor/Evangelist Greg Laurie asks, "What on earth is happening in the Middle East?" He cites the attack on U.S. embassies, Iranian president Ahmadinejad's threat to eliminate Israel, and the Islamic vision of a Muslim "messiah," and a new world order. Many people hoped the so-called Arab Spring would bring democracy to the Middle East, but it hasn't turned out well. So, what is happening?
The short answer is that Bible prophecy is being lived out in real time before our very eyes. The Bible has predicted the things that are happening in this part of the world... And it has all been foretold in the only book that accurately predicts the future: the Bible.
The rebirth of the nation of Israel apparently began a series of events that were predicted by Jesus and the prophets. Laurie says that some people think it is not important to study Bible prophecy, but he encourages us to learn about the future is so we will be motivated to live rightly in the present.

Prophetic Significance: The End Is NOT Near!

WORLD WAR III: War for Water?

Oct. 18, 2012 - The lack of water is a major problem in many parts of the world, including the Middle East. The Six-Day war of 1967 was launched because of a dispute about Israel's water sources. Many other countries have had water wars.

According to the Book of Revelation draught will become more pronounced. The dreadful war of the 2nd Seal will lead to world-wide famine, so that a person will have to spend a whole day's wages to buy a little food (Revelation 6:3-6). Revelation 8:10-11 predicts an asteroid that causes much of the world's water to become bitter. And the two witnesses of Revelation 11 will have power to stop the rain for three and a half years!

Armageddon is located in northern Israel and has been the place of many wars. The final one may not be over oil, but water.
