Bill Gates to Build Next-Gen Nuclear Reactors With China
Dec. 7, 2011 - Bill Gates is having discussions with China to jointly develop a new kind of nuclear reactor
similar to the TerraPower project he promoted in his home state of Washington.

Dec. 6, 2011 - The U.S. and China's neighbors have expressed concerns over China's naval ambitions.
Chinese President Hu Jintao told his navy they must prepare for military combat. Hu said:
"Our work must closely encircle the main theme of national defence and military building."

This article reminds us of the US struggle against China during the Korean War. They were a formidable opponent then,
and after three years of fighting against them we were glad to negotiate a compromise peace agreement and
the armistice line that still divides the two Koreas today.
Since that time the U.S. has has sustained strategic dominance of the Indo-Pacific region. However, China’s new
economic power is being reinforced by their military build-up. Their navy is growing fast. They are using
aircraft-carriers and sophisticated missile systems. At this rate is is possible that China and the U.S.
will face armed conflict again.

Phony Religious Freedom in China
Oct. 26, 2011 - Chuck Colson exposes the duplicity of the Chinese in regard to their treatment of Christianity
in their country. They have sponsored an exhibit about the history of the spread of Christianity in China from
the Tang Dynasty onward. However, at the same time, they are brutally repressing Christians today.
- ChinaAid, an organization that exposes the persecution of Christians in China, says the exhibit is
“a government propaganda ploy” intended to deflect attention from reports of growing religious persecution
in China.

China delivers jolt to U.S. Middle East influence
Sets up collision course over issue of Palestinian statehood
- Aug. 30, 2011 - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has evidently given up on trying to reach a peaceful
solution with Israel before going to the U.N to request their recognition. Chinese President Hu Jintao has assured
Abbas that they will support their bid for statehood. He wrote to Abbas that China has, "always supported the
legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state."

'Pakistan gives China access to top-secret U.S. helicopter from Bin Laden raid'
- Aug. 15, 2011 - The Financial Times has reported that one person in intelligence circles that, against U.S.
wishes, Pakistani authorities allowed Chinese military personel to examine the secret U.S. helicopter that crashed
during the raid that killed Osama bin Laden last May.
- The engineers were shown the wreckage and allowed to take photographs of it, as well as take samples
of the "stealth" skin that enabled the American military to enter Pakistan undetected by radar, the
Financial Times reported him as saying.

China's first aircraft carrier 'starts sea trials'
- Aug. 11, 2011 - In the midst of a rapid Chinese military build-up they have deployed their first aircraft carrier.
The 300m (990ft) carrier is a refitted former Soviet warship. The first voyage is only a test run for the ship.
- The BBC's Michael Bristow in Beijing says China is years away from being able to deploy this carrier as
a potent military tool. Even so, the country's neighbours will be worried.

Massive Global Cyberattack Targeting U.S., U.N. Discovered; Experts Blame China
- Aug. 3, 2011 - The online security firm McAfee will announce details today of the world's most extensive
case of cyber-espionage. Some 72 networks -- 49 of them in the U.S. -- were infiltrated, resulting in a massive
loss of information. And if even a fraction of that information is used to produce better competing products, or
give the thieves a competitive advantage in key negotiations, this information could result in a huge economic loss.

Targets for the intrusions -- identified from logs tracked to a single server -- included computer networks
of the United Nations secretariat, a U.S. Energy Department lab, some dozen U.S. defense firms and a U.K.
defense contractor.
Analysts believe that the attacks came from China.

China's Women Shortage Fuels Trafficking
- June 2, 2011 - By 2020 China will have approximately 40 million more men 19-years and younger than women.
- The problem started in 1980 when China launched its controversial "one-child" policy. The aim: limit births to one
child per couple and keep the country's population below 1.2 billion. The government claims the policy has prevented
400 million births.
There simply are not enough available women for the number of men who want to start families.
