Nov. 26, 2011 -
- China's vast military machine grows by the day. America's sending troops to Australia in response. As
tension between the two superpowers escalates, Max Hastings warns of a terrifying threat to world peace.
This article reminds us of the US struggle against China during the Korean War. They were a formidable opponent then,
and after three years of fighting against them we were glad to negotiate a compromise peace agreement and
the armistice line that still divides the two Koreas today.
Since that time the U.S. has has sustained strategic dominance of the Indo-Pacific region. However, China’s new
economic power is being reinforced by their military build-up. Their navy is growing fast. They are using
aircraft-carriers and sophisticated missile systems. At this rate is is possible that China and the U.S.

give the thieves a competitive advantage in key negotiations, this information could result in a huge economic loss.
