Uniting Religions For World Change

July 27, 2010 - Read this report on the G8 World Religions Summit held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from June 21-23. The writer, Carl Teichrib, attended the event. He said in part:
This multi-faith perspective was evident in full color; Hindu swamis in flowing orange attire, members of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs dressed in desert garb, Jewish yamakas, cross pendants and clerical collars, Shinto robes, Orthodox priests in black...
Techrib added that there were Protestants too, including Evangelicals at the summit.

Interfaith movement gains new strength

Apr. 5, 2010 - Julia Duin, Religion Editor for the Washington Times, reports on a growing interfaith movement, especially here in the U.S. One example is FaithHouse Manhattan, where its twice-monthly interfaith gatherings are hosted by leaders from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and other religions. The movement is supported by the Obama White House, which has identified interfaith work as a public policy goal.
Obama's Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships has an "interreligious dialogue and cooperation" task force.
She adds that, "Some of the biggest movers and shakers in the interfaith movement are governments in Muslim states: Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan."

AVATAR and the Coming One World Religion

Jan, 2010 - The movie, Avatar, is an amazing production, but it portrays a panthiestic world where the heroes and heroine in the movie all worship Eywa, the "All Mother" Goddess. She is described as "a network of energy” that “flows through all living things.”
Even the lead scientist becomes a pagan in the end, proclaiming that she is "with Eywa, she's real," and goes to be with her upon her death.
