The end is about as near as it was during the bubonic plague in Europe. Then again the “end times” would applicable to anyone experiencing death at any one time. I grew up on these spooky stories and folktales in my southern baptist home along with shame, guilt, and other stuff a young kid shouldnt be exposed to. Im sooooo glad that I took some science classes to exercise this superstitious garbage out of my mind. Sorry to be harsh, but religion has done far more harm in my life than I would like to share here.

I would like to update your last posting dated Jan. 13, 2010. Since the Haiti earthquake, Chile got hit by an 8.8m earthquake last Feb. 27, 2010 and since then, huge aftershocks were felt almost everyday up to today. Also, Indonesia got 6.8m March 5, Turkey got 6.1m March 8, Japan got 6.5m March 14 and Philippines got 6.0m March 25.

According to http://heavenawaits.wordpress.com/earthquakes-increase-in-end-times/, there is an increase in seismic activity and earthquakes with >mag. 6.9 in the last 38 years. Please check this out.

I would tend to agree with scientist who state that we are enduring about the same number of earthquakes in a given year. However, in past years most earthquakes occurred around the Pacific Rim, with occasional quakes along other faults. Recently though, quakes seem to be occurring on all fault lines. Also notably, that for every major quake on the west side of the Pacific Rim, there follows, within days a corresponding major quake on the east side of the rim. If you look at the world chart for the last 30 days, you can see multiple quakes have occurred on every fault.
