Good question. You are right that it would strengthen belief in the Old Testament. It would also validate the eight references to Noah in the New Testament. It would be an especially good reminder that the spirit of our times is similar to the attitudes that prevailed in Noah’s day.
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.”-Matthew 24:36-38
In other words, while true believers were very concerned, and did what they could to build an ark, the vast majority of people were unbelievers who went on with every-day life without thinking of the consequences.

Hello Ron,

I’ve got a question for you:

So, let’s say that this is Noah’s Ark.

How would that point to Jesus’ soon return?

I ask that question based on the idea that Noah’s Ark is Old Testament, not New Testament.

So, if anything, it would probably strengthen the validity of the Old Testament, of which Christianity, Judaism (and, I guess Islam to some extent).

What I’m questioning, is whether this finding is exclusive to Christianity. I don’t think it is. But still…it would strengthen things for Christianity and Judaism.
