Is there really an increase in seismic activity? From some perspectives it certainly seems that there
is, but scientists remind us that this could also be due to the increased effectiveness in measuring and reporting
events. In any case, there is no doubt that this period of time qualifies as a fulfillment of the prophecy that
"there will be earthquakes!"

Iran-Iraq border earthquake is deadliest of 2017
Nov. 13, 2017 - The 7.3 earthquake near the border of Iran and Iraq is deadliest so far this year.
A huge rescue effort is under way after a powerful earthquake struck Iran's mountainous border with Iraq,
killing more than 400 people and injuring more than 7,000.

At least 341 killed as strong quake rattles western Iran
Nov. 12,2017 - A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck today near the border of Iran and Iraq. So far the death toll is at least
341 people, and 3950 have been injured.
The quake was so powerful that the tremors were felt in some regional countries, including Turkey, Kuwait and the UAE, according to social media users.

Powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake jolted Mexico City, killing more than 200
Sept. 20, 2017 -
Earlier in the day buildings across the city held preparation drills on the anniversary of a 1985 quake. That 8.1 quake
caused massive damage to parts of the city and left thousands dead.

Powerful earthquake hits Mexico's coast, tsunami waves reported
Sept. 8, 2017 - A magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck the southern coast of Mexico this morning. It also caused
tsunami waves measuring up to 2.3 feet.
Its epicenter was 102 miles west of Tapachula in southern Chiapas state and had a depth of about 21 miles. The quake was so powerful,
it sent people fleeing from buildings 650 miles away in Mexico City.
According to Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto the earthquake is the biggest the country has seen in a century.
