Terrorism has been a cause of some of the "wars" predicted by Jesus as signs of the times. It has been
a factor in the history of the Middle East for hundreds of years, and is now a world-wide problem, especially
since the 9/11 attacks on New York and Washington D.C. in 2001. Terrorism produces a general sense of dread even
when there is no actual attack taking place. This could be one of the most significant fulfillments of Jesus'
prediction of "rumors of war" (Matthew 24:6).
