Pope opens synod; calls for welcoming Church but no gay marriage
Oct. 4, 2015 -
Pope Francis on Sunday reaffirmed Catholic opposition to gay marriage as he opened a three-week gathering of bishops from around the
world but said the Church had to show love and understanding towards all.
Conservative Catholics accept homosexuals as long as they are chaste [not practicing], but Catholic gay activists demand full acceptance of active gays in the Church.
Yesterday the Vatican dismissed a Polish priest from his job because he came out as gay and campaigned for changing Catholic teachings against homosexual activity.

- Editor's Comment: This is encouraging news, and may answer the Pope's 2013 remark about gays in the church. He said, "Who am I to judge."
We only wish that he had said this during his U.S. visit when he had the attention of the Supreme Court justices.

Seven Ways Pope Francis Slapped Conservatives in the United States
Sept. 25, 2015 - Pope Francis' failure to properly address two important moral issues were very disappointing. While speaking in Congress,
where many Democrats support funding for Planned Parenthood, he said that all human life must be treated with respect, he ignored the abortion issue and
focused on the death penalty instead.
He also failed to address same-sex marriage when the Supreme Court "that declared itself above God in terms of defining marriage" was sitting in front of him.
The Pope's visit could have been an incredible opportunity to fight against Godless immorality in the United States. Instead, the Pope
largely used the opportunity to push leftism slathered over with paper-thin theology.

Pope Francis At White House: “Koran And Holy Bible Are The Same”
Sept. 25, 2015 - Speaking at the South Lawn of the White House, Pope Francis said that the names "Jesus Christ, Jehovah and Allah" all
describe the same entity. He also said that the Koran is just as valid as the Bible. He expressed hope that we can all respect
each other's beliefs in order to bring about an unprecedented age of peace. He said,
"We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement
is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.”

Why advocates for clergy sex abuse victims call Pope Francis’s remarks a ‘slap in the face’
Sept. 23, 2015 - Pope Francis addressed U.S. bishops at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. He touched on the sex-abuse scandals that
have caused much distrust of the Catholic Church in America. He did acknowledge the problem, but many victims' advocates complained that he comforted
the bishops more than he did the sex abuse survivors. He extolled the bishops “courage” and “self-criticism.
“I realize how much the pain of recent years has weighed upon you and I have supported your generous commitment to bring healing to victims
– in the knowledge that in healing we, too, are healed – and to work to ensure that such crimes will never be repeated.”

Why I Am Boycotting Pope Francis’s Address to Congress
Arizona House of Representative member Paul Gosar says he will boycott Pope Francis' visit to Congress. Gosar is a devout Catholic,
and at first he was elated to hear the Pope would visit. He hoped that the Pope would ...
"...address the current intolerance of religious freedom...the persecution and execution of Christians and religious minorities...
[and] address the enslavement, belittlement, rape and desecration of Christian women and children... [and] intentionally planned genocide
of unborn children by Planned Parenthood and society."
Instead, Gosar laments, the Pope plans to devote most of his address to climate change, a phenomenon that has been changing since it was first created in Genesis.

Satanic Temple holds public sculpture unveiling in Detroit
July 26, 2015 - A one-ton bronze statue of Baphomet was unveiled in Detroit just before midnight yesterday.
The statue of a winged Baphomet with a human body and a goat's head resembled a design the group previously released. Statues of a boy and a girl stood in
poses of adoration on either side.
Jex Blackmore, director of the Satanic Temple in Detroit said the group plans to transport the sculpture to Arkansas in protest of that state's permission to
allow a 10 Commandments monument on the State Capitol's grounds.

would find a way to reduce pollution and develop poor countries and regions.
His appeal echoed that of his predecessor, pope Benedict XVI, who in a 2009 encyclical proposed a kind of super-UN to deal with the
world’s economic problems and injustices.

Pope Francis is aligning himself against Israel
May 18, 2015 - A treaty to recognize the “State of Palestine” was finallized in Rome last week. Commentator Michael Freund says this is
"the latest salvo in its 2,000-year-old struggle to disenfranchise the Jewish people."
The Vatican is effectively seeking to deny the eternal covenant
between God and the Jewish people, to whom this land was promised long ago... Indeed, one cannot help but wonder: what Bible is the Vatican reading?

The Shifting Definition of Religious Freedom: Why We Can't Bow to the New Established Religion
Apr. 16, 2015 - Advocates of the new sexual orthodoxy are emboldened by their successes in the courts and in the favor of the liberal media.
People of faith are being bullied into conformity.
Writing at National Review, Yuval Levin says what we're witnessing isn't so much the suppression of free exercise of religion as it
is the establishment of a new national religion; the religion of secular liberalism.

This is the end? Pope gives up cryptic hint
Mar. 17, 2015 -
The pope unleashed an international frenzy of speculation when he recently commented, “I have a feeling my pontificate will be brief...
It is a vague feeling I have that the Lord chose me for a short mission.”

112 popes to come from his days until the destruction of Rome.

Spirituality in the New World Order: Is a One World Religious Authority in Formation?
Mar. 16, 2015 - Serious talks have been proposed to form a top-down authorative organization of religions that would
speak with authority for the purpose of maintaining peace in the world. It would proclaim what God approves and what He disapproves.
The most obvious drive came last September when former President of Israel, Shimon Peres met with the Pope to propose the
formation of a new “U.N. of religions”, which the Pope would head.
The Pope did not agree to lead the experimental organization.
The article discusses the pros and cons of such a union, but it is not optimistic that it can be accomplished.

SHOCKING! Church of England Vicar allows full Muslim prayer in church, tells congregation to praise “the god that we love, Allah”
Mar. 13, 2015 - A Church of England vicar (Rev Canon Giles Goddard) caused an uproar in London by allowing a full Islamic prayer service
in the church. He participated in the service and invited the attendees to give thanks to “the God that we love, Allah”. Evangelical clerics
were upset by the event. They said it...
... marked a breach with canon law which forbids any variation from the official liturgy if it contains “any departure from,
the doctrine of the Church of England in any essential matter”.
They also said the service was “offensive” to persecuted Christians around the world.

Gay Catholic Group Gets VIP Treatment at Vatican for First Time
Feb. 18, 2015 - An American Catholic gay rights group was given recognition and an audience with Pope Francis. They
considered it a sign that the Catholic Church is changing its policies toward homosexuality.
Several months after his election, Francis made his now-famous remark about how he could not judge gay people who are have good will and are seeking God.
However, there is no indication yet that the Church will change its teaching that while homosexuality is not sinful, homosexual acts are.
