On the National Day of Prayer, time for a revival
May 2, 2013 - Greg Laurie, founder of the Harvest Crusades is honorary chairman of the task force for the National Day of Prayer. He
warns that America has strayed from its Christian principles and is in need of a revival. He explained that we can not manufacture a revival, but God
might cause one to take place if we repent and pray. He used the story of Jonah and the evil city of Nineveh. God sent Jonah to offer them one
last chance. He wrote,
- The Ninevites turned to the Lord en masse and repented of their sin and he spared them. If God could bring a revival to Nineveh, surely he can do the same for America.

Mar. 6, 2013 - At the National Religious Broadcasters convention Evangelist Nick Vujicic said that his ministry, "life Without Limbs,"
is ministering to hundreds of thousands of people around the world and during one recent week in India 80,000 came to the Lord, Jesus Christ. He
feels that this strong spiritual movement indicates that we are most likely living during the end times. He said he was convinced that...
- ...we are living in the end of days, a time when every human being on earth will have the chance to say 'yes, I accept' or 'no, I
reject' this Gospel message of Jesus. But how will they know unless someone tells them?"

Review: 'The Bible' – This Time, Hollywood Got It Right
Mar. 1, 2013 - Reviewer Geoff Tunnicliffe didn't have high hopes for the new mini-series about the Bible, but he is very pleasantly
surprised. He says it will benefit everyone: the faithful, the curious, the skeptic and those who just want to see an entertaining adventure series.
He mentions a scene where Jesus and Peter are on a boat.
- Peter has just landed a bountiful load of fish from waters that he deemed unfishable. He looks at Jesus and asks him: "What are
we going to do?" And Jesus replies: "We're going to change the World!"

Richard Dawkins Loses Debate Against Former Anglican Head Rowan Williams
Feb. 3, 2013 -
- The former Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, defeated prominent atheist professor, Richard Dawkins ... as a vote taken at the
conclusion of the debate ruled that religion does have a place in the 21st century.
An audience of about 800 people at the University of Cambridge voted 324 to 136 that William's case was more reasonable than Dawkin's
views.
Williams argued that Christianity promoted community building, compassion, friendship and inclusion. He said that the convention of
human rights would not be what it is without the history of philosophical, religious debate.
Dawkins said his main concern was simply whether religion was true. He considers it a phony substitute for an explanation, which seems to
answer the question until you examine it and realize that it does no such thing. In his view, these false explanations hinder the process of
discovering real explanations.

'Harbinger' author pleads for return to God
Jan. 23, 2013 - Addressing the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC on Inauguration Day, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn,
author of “The Harbinger,” warned the gathering that the U.S. has chosen a path that takes the nation away from God, and he pleaded with its
leaders to return.
- “What we once knew to be immoral, we celebrate,” he said. “What we once knew to be right, we war against...A thousand
apostate ministers swearing on a thousand Bibles will not change one jot or tittle of the word of God.”
Later in the day Cahn commented on the President's inaugural speech - the first one ever to call for the advancement of "gay" rights.
He said there was "an explosion of prayer and worship" after his message, and that he is praying it will be the beginning of an awakening.

A Prayer for the President and a Nation
Jan. 21, 2012 - Rev. Dr. Luis León, pastor of St. John's Church across from the White House will do double duty today: hosting
President Obama for a prayer service before the inauguration, and giving the benediction at the inauguration ceremony. He told ABC news
that he will be praying for restored unity as a nation.
- “We don’t trust each other. We’ve forgotten that we have more that binds us together than separates us. My prayer is that
we capture that sense of being one nation.”
St. John’s has often be the host of the inaugural prayer service since Franklin Roosevelt started the tradition. Even before that time it
was often visited by presidents. There is a special pew in the back where Abraham Lincoln sat when he attended. A plaque there says Lincoln
always came alone and left before the service ended to walk back to the White House.

Billy Graham's 'My Hope' National Campaign to Culminate With Evangelist's 95th Birthday
Jan. 13, 2013 - This year will see the escalation and culmination of a great evangelistic effort called "My Hope with Billy Graham."

message to the nation in November 2013.
- "Already over 3,000 churches have now registered on our website to be involved – we're working toward having up to 50,000 churches involved,"
said Preston Parrish, vice president of "My Hope with Billy Graham."

Greg Laurie on Things to Do Before Jesus Returns
Jan. 5, 2012 - Greg Laurie reminded his congregation that the return of Christ is mentioned no less than 318 times in the 260
chapters in the New Testament. It doesn't tell us the exact time for His return because we should always be ready.
- What if we knew somehow that Jesus Christ will be back for us at 3 p.m. tomorrow? The pastor asked. "I'm sure we'd all be saints at 2:45 …
We'll be wearing our Sunday morning smiles and our come-quickly-Jesus attitude."
Laurie acknowledged that some might doubt Jesus' promise since He has not come yet, but they should read 2 Peter 3:9...
- "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to
perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
He said that he had hoped Jesus would return in the '70's, but he is glad He didn't because many in his audience had accepted Christ since that
time.
He encouraged his flock to be ready to go at any time, believing in Christ, living godly lives, and avoiding sinful behavior.
