Islam

PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE:
Islam is the second largest, and some claim, the fastest growing, religion in the world. It is not well understood in the United States, but the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center by militant Muslims have made people curious about its teachings. Many Muslims live in relative peace, but there is a strong, sizeable faction of radical militants that dominate the news and use terrorist tactics to advance it's agenda of world domination. Osama bin Laden and his organization, Al Qaeda, were responsible for the killing of more than three thousand innocent Americans. They have trained thousands of terrorists, and have now conducted terrorist attacks all over the world.

Christians need to affirm their love for Muslims (Christ died for all men), and stand against any persecution against them based on their religion or ethnicity. We should also seek to enter into dialog with them where possible, so that they might learn more about Jesus, whom they respect as a prophet, but do not accept as savior. At the same time, we should be entirely opposed to the wanton murder of innocent people by terrorists. And we should not give the false impression, so prevalent in our culture today, that our beliefs are equal. Jesus said He is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6).

Radical Islam has continued to grow. Their aim is to control the world. Intelligence experts warn that another great attack is likely in America. Few Muslim mosques stand effectively against violence. Instead, they tend to serve as places of recruitment for jihadists. Outdated immigration policies and weak border control allow the continued flow of trained terrorists into our country. Americans and their leaders need to wake up and find ways to stop this trend before it is too late for us.

The continued growth of Islam raises another prophetic possibility: that a new Islamic caliphate might emerge, affecting European countries where Muslim culture is becoming predominant. Such a coalition would resemble the old Roman Empire at it's greatest extent, and could be what was predicted in Daniel, chapter 2, where it depicts the final world empire, symbolized by iron [Rome] and clay [Islamic caliphate?]. Video: Chavez urged Shiites' 12th Imam to 'come sooner'

Mar. 9, 2013 - A video recording of the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in 2009 shows that he had a strange blend of belief in the Second Coming of Christ (He was a Catholic), and the coming of the Shiite Muslims’ 12th Imam. He was influenced by the beliefs of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In the video he said,
“Quds (Jerusalem) is a holy place for all of us Christians. I spoke with Ahmadinejad about the day that Islam’s Quran says both (Mahdi and Christ) will return. Jesus, holding hands with the 12th Imam."
He added that he hoped they would hasten their return.

How Should Christian Satellite Networks Evangelize to Muslims?

Jan. 10, 2013 - The "Innocence of Muslims" film that caused riots in Egypt last year has stimulated debate among Christian broadcasters about the right way to reach out to Muslims. Terence Ascott, CEO and founder of SAT-7, the evangelical satellite channel that airs broadcasts from Cairo to Beirut explains their policy:
"Exposing the faults of another person's belief system is best done face to face in love. To do it through a broadcast can often lead to a negative reaction by viewers, and... local Christians and churches then pay the price."
There are other broadcasters who use their satellite programs to expose Islamic error. The debate continues.

“...from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The article lists the names and positions of the six influential people.

After World War I the Ottoman Turkish empire was disbanded, but the Muslim Brotherhood was soon formed for the purpose of destroying Western civilization and making Islam "victorious over all other religions.”
